Kaieteur News – Local singing sensation and six-times Soca Monarch, Jumo ‘Rubber Waist’ Primo is the owner of a prestige bar and grill which offers its customer great food, in a relaxing atmosphere.
His business, ‘592 Bar & Grill’ is located at Lot 23 John and Norton Streets, Georgetown. The business is open Tuesday to Saturday from 11:00hours to 23:00hours.
‘592 Bar & Grill’ offers customers a daily menu with a variety of options to choose from.
Some food items on the menu are barbecued chicken, potato fries, wings (several different flavors), fish, plantain, shine rice with fish cake & dhal, mixed meat eddo leaf cook-up, melody rice baked sweet potatoes with sweet corn, vegetable salad, saffron rice, fried rice, 3-peas salad, Mexican rice and much more.
Jumo and his co-owner Patricee Wilson, officially opened the doors to his business on December 4, 2020. Since then he have been offering his customers delicious food, courteous service and a great atmosphere in which to unwind.
When asked what inspired him to start his business, Jumo said, “A desire to bring delicious homemade meals that makes you remember your childhood.”
He shared too that the most popular item on the menu is the “shine rice and saltfish with dhal.”
His business has catered for parties, birthdays, Bartica Regatta, and the recently concluded Carnival events.
When asked about his long-term goal, Jumo stated that he wants to expand into different areas and “let our meals talk for us.”
