Kaieteur News – A Linden woman on Tuesday was robbed of her cellphone and her cellphone charger by two knife bandits at the old Footstep Store in the vicinity of Croal Street, Georgetown.
The victim, according to police, is a self-employed woman, Nathalie Williams, 33, of Lot 204 Wisroc Housing Scheme, Linden, Region 10.
It was reported that Williams was attacked by bandits at 04:00hrs.
The report stated that the victim was standing in-front of her footstep store when she was approached by the two bandits – one armed with a double-blade knife. The victim told police that the bandit pointed the knife at her and robbed her. She was relieved of a cell-phone and a charger, a total value of G$18,500.
After robbing the woman, the suspects escaped in an eastern direction along Croal Street. Checks were made by police for the bandits but they remain at large.
An investigation is ongoing.
