The three accused who were committed to stand trial in the High Court for the murder of Leelawattie Mohamed, of Sixth Street, Tain Village, Corentyne, Berbice, yesterday pleaded not guilty to the offence at the Berbice High Court.
Andre James called ‘Tattoo,’ Oliver Permaul called ‘Barber’ and Rohan Johnson called ‘Jamaciee’ appeared via zoom and they all pleaded not guilty.
Permaul is being represented by Attorney-at-law, Rabindra Mohabir; the other two were also represented.
The trio in 2017 was arrested along with three others for the murder of Mohamed at her home. The 45-year-old Mohamed, at the time of her death, was employed as a domestic worker.
Kaieteur News had reported then, that Mohamed and her two teenage children were at home when three masked men barged into her home and shot her execution style. Nothing was stolen from the home.
