DEAR EDITOR,
While the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is of serious concern because of the number of people being infected and have died, of more serious concern is the use of the pandemic by Governments around the world to restrict our freedom.
Even in countries that have strong democratic foundations, FREEDOM is being restricted. As examples, freedom to associate collectively and curfews are in place in certain countries.
The pandemic is obviously being used to scare us into sacrificing our freedom. And, we are giving our willing consent for “our protection”.
Even with VACCINATION programmes, there will still be restrictions. I hear of a certificate (to say that we have been vaccinated) would now be needed to travel. This is only a small step towards us needing a Biblical “mark on our hands or head” to trade.
We are living in “interesting times”.
Yours faithfully,
Sean Ori
