Sixth KARES Caribbean Fitness Challenge set to unfold at National Park on Feb. 9th

Male and Female winners to pocket $500,000 each

With the biggest cash prizes ever up for grabs, the 6th annual Kares Caribbean Fitness Challenge, under the theme: ‘Bring Out The Beast In You’ is set to unfold at the National Park Tarmac on Sunday February 9th next where the local athletes led by the defending male and female champions will be putting their titles on the line against overseas competition.

Five-time defending male champion, Dillon ‘The Beast’ Mahadeo competing out the Crossfit 592 will be going after a fifth successive triumph and will surely be eying the top prize of $500,000, the biggest ever, sponsored by Lotus Hardware under the Kares Group of Companies.
Even the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th place athletes will leave the National Park arena smiling as they would be pocketing $400,000, $300,000, $200,000 and $100,000, respectively; prize monies in some instances being doubled from last year.
Additionally, all competing athletes would be awarded a Participation Fee while all Over-35 competitors would also be rewarded with a cash prize.
Certainly, reason (s) to get into the act of participating at the Sixth KARES Caribbean Fitness Challenge. Registration will close next week Friday, January 17th and based on reports, defending female champion, Suriname’s Ava Zalman might not be making the trip which would make the likes of Semonica Duke and Delice Adonis favourites to take back the title. Adonis won in 2018.
However, there will be female competitors coming from the Dutch nation. The other nation confirming participation to date is Barbados, invitations have also been sent to Jamaica, St. Lucia and Trinidad & Tobago.
Mahadeo would be tested by the likes of last year’s runner-up and third place finishers, Kelvin Baul (Fusion Fitness) and Omisi Williams of Perry Fitness Gym, Linden among others. Registration fee for each athlete is USD $25.00.
The events have not been revealed to date but are expected to be testing for the male and female gladiators who are all getting themselves in shape for what is anticipated to be grueling contests. Fans are in for a treat with competition scheduled to get underway at 13:00hrs on Sunday February 9th, only the fittest will survive and be able to pocket the lucrative prizes on offer.
