Police have made headway in their quest to identify a man who was killed in a hit-and-run accident on the Leonora public road on December 1, 2019.
The man was positively identified by family members as 39-year-old Romel Carter of 498 D’ Field South Sophia.
Kempton Carter, the man’s brother, relayed that his sibling was last seen on November 30, 2019.
“Somebody see the post on Facebook and they call we and tell we seh leh we go to the parlour and we see him and identify him…”
According to him, they have little to no details on the accident, but learnt that the victim was struck by a motor lorry. Kempton Carter stated that police informed them that the driver was arrested but was released on $100,000 station bail pending court charges.
“We want to know what happen when my brother dead… what he was doing or so, and if he was wrong, and they not telling we nothing, but duh is all we wanna know.”
When contacted, a source close to the case disclosed that police are still conducting their investigations.
