I have never heard of any other country that charges a fine for being illegal in their country and if they are, it is inhuman.
Guyana has been practising this as though they don’t have a heart.
How can a person or persons who overstay their time in a country, be charged a fine and if not paid, be sent to prison for some time, before being deported?
This practice was last done on 11/21/2019 in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.
If it was like that all over the world, Guyanese and others would still be suffering in foreign jails today. Guyana’s courts, in passing such judgment, is sickening
I do hope changes can be made, to rectify this inhuman practice.
Guyana stop embarrassing yourself, you don’t need the cash.
Respectfully,
JC Grant-Stuart Snr.
