The situation in the prison system is about to improve with better and more secure accommodation for the prisoners. However, there seems to be a race among errant young men to fill the prisons.
One of them is going to challenge authorities with a gun after he was apprehended during a robbery.

The situation with the public service is going to catch national attention with public servants demanding a pay increase after a number of prices would rise, among them the cost of transportation.
Fuel prices and other incidentals are already costing more, largely due to the Guyana Revenue Authority closing tax loopholes.

Drug busts are commonplace. However, the frequency with which these drug busts are made overseas would not do Guyana any good. A foreign airport is going to report yet another arrest, this time of a woman who would be using her child as a courier.
