A feud between neighbours ended on Thursday with a 17-year-old being stabbed to death at Graham Street, Plaisance, East Coast Demerara, and
police taking a 17-year-old into custody.Dead is 15 year old Derril Wong, of Lot 142 Plaisance. He was a student of Cummings Lodge Secondary School.
According to reports, Wong was banned from entering his neighbour’s yard. However, on Thursday, he ignored the “ban” and went over. He reportedly ended up in a physical confrontation with a 17-year-old, who stabbed Wong with a knife.
The suspect’s sister reportedly found Wong lying in a pool of blood in her home. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation.
The suspect has been detained.
