The knockout round of the second annual ExxonMobil under-14 schools’ football tournament gets underway today at the Ministry of Education (MOE) ground on Carifesta Avenue. The girls’ division will see quarterfinal play, while the boys’ division will kick off in the quarterfinal stage.
Defending female champions, Charlestown Secondary will match skills with New Campbellville at 12:00hrs while Tucville will play East Ruimveldt is the other semifinal.
They will commence play from 13:00hrs with Marian Academy clashing with Queenstown Secondary in the first quarterfinal fixture.
The tournament is also being supported by the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) and will see the top performers receiving a grant to complete a school project of their choice.
