Live in peace or choose war with God

DEAR EDITOR,

Everyone seems to be awaiting the ‘Second Coming’ of Jesus Christ. And, they seem to believe that Jesus Christ would appear and start preaching peace and goodwill on earth without understanding what the Christian Bible teaches.
Jesus Christ has already shown us the way to live in peace and harmony with each other. It is up to us to understand his teachings and change our lifestyle. HE has given us a choice of living in peace or going to war with God. It seems as if society (the whole world that is) has chosen the latter (that is, going to war with God). I say this because we have built ourselves umpteen nuclear weapons and refuse to live in peace with each other.
What the Christian Bible actually teaches about the ‘Second Coming’ of Jesus Christ is that there will be trials and tribulations on an unprecedented scale. Many believe that Jesus Christ will come and resolve our problems, which are not what the Christian Bible actually teaches.
Today, we still have a choice. Live in peace or choose war with God. The choice is ours.
For those of us who have sinned: admit that you have done something wrong (confession), open your heart, mind and soul to God in the name of Jesus Christ and HE will heal us. It goes without saying that accepting that Jesus Christ is The Son of God is also required.
For those of us who do not believe in God, then I say HE is calling you as well. You just have to listen. But do many children actually listen to their parents (whom they can see)…? So it is with those who do not believe in God.
