A first half double off the boot of Ledson DaSilva orchestrated a narrow 3-2 win for Snatchers FC over Gladiators FC when the GFF/KFC U20 Independence Cup knock-out tournament, Rupununi Football Association leg continued on Wednesday last.
DaSilva scored in the 4th and 34th minute with his teammate Jarred George scoring in the 36th minute to establish what seemed to be a comfortable 3-0 advantage. The second half saw a turnaround in fortunes for Gladiators which fired back with two goals from Eric Atkinson in the 58th minute and Orlando Francis, two minutes later.
That would have been as far as they would have gotten as Snatchers kept their composure to ease to a close win which result in Gladiators being sent packing.
