Embodied in the warmth of worship, ranks of the Guyana Police Force gathered yesterday in attendance at the Guyana Police Force’s Credit Union Building Camp Street, Georgetown, to commemorate its fiftieth anniversary.
The morning’s events were initiated with a prayer by Woman Superintendent Marcelene Washington.
The Guyana Police Credit Union which was registered in 1969 under the Co-op Act of Guyana 8801 with registration number 1066, serves the ranks of the Guyana Police Force, and has over the years, enabled them to own their own vehicle, house and even start their own business.
Pastor Phillip Bowman delivered the sermon where he touched several issues concerning the welfare of the country and its citizens.
Present were Commissioner of Police Mr. Leslie James DSS, DSM, the Chief Co-operative Development Officer (CCDO) Ms. Perlina Gifth, Deputy Commissioners Mr. Paul Williams DSM, Ms. Maxine Graham DSM, Assistant Commissioners Clifton Hicken and Royston Andries-Junor, Second In-charge Operations Senior Superintendent Mr. Errol Watts, Director of Music Senior Superintendent Charmaine Stuart, Public Relations Officer Superintendent Jairam Ramlakhan, Manager of the Guyana Police Credit Union Assistant Superintendent Reynold Venture, and other senior and junior ranks of the Force.
