The Leguan Stelling has suffered an engineering issue with its ramp with Government engineers looking into the matter.
According to the Ministry of the Public Infrastructure, piles from the Leguan Stelling low ramp broke on Monday causing it to be inaccessible to passengers.
“A team of Transport and Harbours Department engineers have been dispatched to the location to assess the damage incurred. This matter is being treated with extreme urgency as materials are currently being sourced and repairs are expected to be completed within seven days,” the Ministry said.
“Leguan residents and passengers alike are advised to use the high ramp as the operations of the stelling will be maintained. Passengers are encouraged to use the Stelling with caution as our engineers facilitate repairs to the broken piles on the low ramp. The Ministry of Public Infrastructure regrets any inconvenience caused.”
