Guyanese escapee from Trini’s immigration detention centre recaptured
Trinidad : A Guyanese man, Ryan Badal, is back in police custody after he and four others escaped from the Immigration Detention Centre last month.
The four others are still on the run, but police announced that Badal’s re-capture occurred on Sunday in Gasparillo.
Officers of the Gasparillo Police Station were on mobile patrol just before 4am on Sunday when they observed him standing at the side of the roadway, allegedly acting suspiciously.
The IDC was contacted following his arrest.
Krishna Bailey, a 22-year-old Jamaican national; and three Venezuelan nationals; 24-year-old Rodney Noel Reyes Mendoza; 27-year-old Jose Luis Ramirez Yanez and 32-year-old Luis Carlos Sifontes are still on the run and the manhunt for their recapture continues. (www.tv6tnt.com)
