A hire car driver succumbed to injuries he sustained after his car veered off the Number 67 Public Road and crashed into an abandoned tractor on the road shoulders, on New Year’s Da

Dead is Jaggernauth Ramcharran, 49, of Grant 1802 Crabwood Creek. Akesh Koochamal, 22, of Number 65 Village, Corentyne, who was also in the car, is suffering from severe injuries.
Reports are that Ramcharran, driving HB 1876, was proceeding north along the western carriageway of the road, reportedly at a fast rate, when he swerved from stray animals crossing the road and collided with the tractor.
Both men were rushed the nearest public hospital where Ramcharran subsequently succumbed while the occupant was admitted in a stable condition.
