Part of human foot found on Corentyne
The police are investigating the circumstances in which a part of a right leg of a human being was found at a dumpsite at Rose Hall Town, Corentyne, Berbice.
The discovery was made around 11:00 hrs on Christmas Day, by a 53-year-old tractor operator attached to the Rose Hall Town Council. The man, who works as a garbage collector reportedly went to the dumpsite at Williamsburg, Corentyne, to dump garbage when he saw what appeared to be a human right side leg.
He immediately reported the matter to the Police who visited the scene immediately. The police found the leg complete with ankle, instep and toes in an advance state of decomposition at the dumpsite.
The limb was photographed and checks were made for any other body parts but none was found. The remains were taken to the Bailey Funeral Home.
