A worker of Oasis Car Wash found himself before the court to answer to a charge of simple larceny after he allegedly snatched a woman’s phone.
John Glen, 19, made an appearance on Friday before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts to answer to his charge.
Glen pleaded not guilty to the charge, which alleged that on December 5, 2018, at Regent and Camp Streets he stole one Apple Rose Gold Iphone 8 plus valued at $200,000 property of Shemika Khan.
Police prosecutor Gordon Mansfield had no objections to bail being granted to Glen, because the item was recovered on his person a few minutes after the incident took place and was lodged at the police station.
Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan then granted bail to Glen to the tune of $20,000 and instructed that he return to court on December 21, 2018
