Jarad Humphrey, an assistant pharmacist, found himself in a tight position yesterday as he was made to answer to a charge of fraud.
It was alleged that between September 2015 and November 2017, at Hadfield Street, Georgetown, solely being entrusted by Shawn Budnauth with the sum of $1,200,000 for the purpose of purchasing a house lot, Humphrey fraudulently converted the money to his own use and benefit.
Humphrey pleaded not guilty to the charge that was read to him by Magistrate Peter Hugh in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.
The Police prosecutor had no objection to bail, and Humphrey was granted same to the tune of $75,000. He was instructed to return to court on November 23.
