Dear Editor,
There is an article in Essequibo Express June 2018 Department of Public Information.
It seems that someone by the name of Elroy Stephney is trying to create chaos in our community.
The information stated that Jacklow Youth Group is creating a brighter future for youths. This information is propaganda, false and lies. My response to the article is that there is no youth group functioning in this community that comprises 60 members.
Presently, the sports ground is under severe bushes, the ground is in a deteriorating state and the Stelling has been collapsed. There are no sporting gears for the youths. How can they be seen playing on a daily basis? At no time the youth group has been taking care of elderly residents. There is no one that is promoting literacy in the community.
I am a resident of Jacklow living here for sixty-years and I have never heard of such an inflammatory remarks.
I am calling on Mr Elroy Stephney to apologise to the residents of Jacklow community for fooling the nation.
Yours truly,
George Daniels
