Smuggled whisky giving Banks and DDL stiff competition
Guyana does mek nuff rum. In fact, people does always seh rum can’t done so when a man start to drink like if he want to done rum, people does tell him that rum gun done him.
Banks and DDL does mek so much rum that Guyanese can’t drink all. Dem does mek rum fuh de rich and de poor. Dem even got rum fuh de very poor. That is bush rum.
There is not a day that people don’t drunk and yet de rum can’t done. But dem boys now see how Guyanese love a likker. GRA ketch a man wid a truckload of likker that come from outside the country. Somebody smuggle it in. Wid all de likker Guyana got people still smuggling in likker.
After Customs tek way that, another man bring in more. When that and all get ketch somebody send a policeman to bring down another set of likker. De policeman had to hire a minibus to fetch de likker. That and all get ketch.
De odda day boys was listening to de news when a man run in and tell dem that somebody was smuggling in a set of whisky in some barrel. It mean that dem pack de barrel overseas and decide to ship it in. Some Customs officer tell dem that de barrel gun pass through but de shipper didn’t bargain fuh Statia.
He move de people who woulda normally clear de barrel and put anodda set. That is how dem find de whisky. Wha people doin’t know is that Banks and DDL is de people who squealing pun de smuggled likker. Every smuggled bottle cutting dem profit.
Long time, when Customs had Christmas party was all de seize likker dem use to drink. And when it nuff people use to carry home a bottle. That use to affect Banks and DDL.
Last week Customs announce that it was disposing of de likker. Clifford and Yesu smile. Dem believe that Customs was going to empty de likker in de river. Is when dem hear bout auction that dem get serious. Now both Banks and DDL going to join in de auction.
Of course whisky is foreign likker and wid all this smuggling, it show that people like de foreign stuff more than de local stuff. And de foreigners like de local rum more than dem own. That is why dem boys believe that de smuggling ain’t got nutten to do wid de oil people who wukking here.
It got to do wid people like de Chat-3 and Irfaat. Dem is de whisky people.
Talk half and watch out fuh de likker smugglers.
