Security guard held with gun, 59 rounds of ammunition

Police have detained a security guard with a firearm and 59 rounds of ammunition, including rounds that are used in high-powered rifles.
A release stated that the guard, who was on the police radar for some time, was arrested in Queenstown, Georgetown.
Around 14:00hrs, ranks from the Police Narcotics Branch intercepted and searched a vehicle which was driven by the suspect.
They unearthed a .45 pistol fitted with extended barrel and butt along with forty .45 rounds of live ammunition; a magazine and nineteen rounds of 7.62 x 39 ammunition.
