Dear Editor,
The way in which the incumbent celebrated the CCJ decision to nix Jagdeo’s desire to run for a third term , is tantamount to Venezuela agreeing that Essequibo solely belongs to Guyana.
The incumbent should be least worried about the next election because they are doing a great job. Yet, their comments and statements smell of fear and anxiety of being deposed by Jagdeo at the next election.
I say that is not totally accurate because there is a single issue that both the incumbent and opposition are laser focusing on— oil money.
Oil money and governments have always created a political class known as the ruling oligarchs who live on both sides. Moreover, I would leave it up to the Guyanese people to list those oligarchs.
Lastly , let us forward the next case to the CCJ, the case of Barbados frequently mistreating Guyanese when they travel or reside in the country
Keith Bernard
