Dear Editor,
The MOPI is presently executing road works in Berbice at a cost mysterious to the public. The quality of the work that is being executed is of a very poor standard especially in East Bank Berbice and New Amsterdam.
What is shocking is that the Water Street in Stanleytown, New Amsterdam that was completed a few weeks ago is deteriorating rapidly.
This definitely shows that the standard of work that is being done by the MOPI work services group is substandard. The Coalition Government and Minister Patterson should ensure that taxpayers’ money is being spent properly. Because of the huge amount of corruption within this group and the MOPI taxpayers will not get value for money.
The sad thing about this APNU/AFC Coalition Government is whenever any issues are being highlighted, they use the Department of Public Information, NCN etc to try and cover up the issues e.g. the Ophthalmology Hospitals issue.
The President should launch an investigation into this specific Minister and Ministry to unfold the corruption.
