Editor,
Since leaving office in 2011 as the president of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, former president and present opposition leader, Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo is being used by the APNU/AFC Government to cover up their mismanagement, corruption, incompetence and their inability to create a better life for all Guyanese.
Jagdeo is the only person who could be compared with Dr. Cheddi Jagan as a true patriot, as a person who is truly connected to the masses, as a person who walks the walk and talks the talk with the people, as a visionary leader, as a person who fights for the rights of the poor and the most popular political figure in Guyana and the Caribbean.
Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo is recognised internationally with high standing. With these eminent qualities in mind persons are very envious of this great personality not only in the coalition camp but others who are ambitious and wicked.
Let me compliment Sherwood Lowe for his letter that he has written concerning the CCJ ongoing case with the third term of presidential candidate. It is very factual and informative, and the case will definitely be in favour of the third term of Bharrat Jagdeo. The only way the third term case decision can change is by corruption.
I am convinced that Bharrat Jagdeo will be the only person who would give the PPP a landslide victory for the 2020 elections any other presidential candidate the PPP will have to campaign real hard for a landslide victory.
I challenge the AFC/APNU coalition government that if Bharrat Jagdeo is not credible then they don’t need to campaign for the 2020 elections. I think desperation is stepping into the coalition camp because Jagdeo as the presidential candidate is a sure win for the PPP/C in the 2020 elections.
A win for the Jagdeo/PPP is a win for the people.

(Kaieteur News) – I am not surprised that electricity demand in Linden has surged by more than 135 per cent from its 2005 level. In fact, given the price at which electricity is supplied there, it would be surprising if demand had not surged. The figures tell the story. Electricity consumption...Sep 06, 2026

Hard truths… (Kaieteur News) – Never knew Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo to be sneaky. Sloppy, hostility personified and sleeker than mercury, he can be. But not sneaky, not he. Hence, I weigh why he waited until Pres. Ali’s back was turned to show his face at the Arthur Chung Convention Center...Freedom of speech is our core value at Kaieteur News.
