A 23-year-old mother of one from East Bank Berbice is currently in police custody for allegedly forcing her 15-year-old stepson to engage in sexual activity with her.
According to sources, the woman is married to a soldier.
The soldier who is based in Georgetown would normally return home on the East Bank of Berbice to spend time with the accused.
During that time, his 15-year-old son who resides at Mahaicony Village with his biological mother would also visit the home at East Berbice.
An official disclosed that: “The child would visit whenever his dad is around and it is customary he would spend time after his dad would go back to town.”
Kaieteur News was told that the teen returned to his home in Mahaicony where he told his mother that his stepmother allegedly forced him to have sex with her.
It was also revealed that his stepmother also allegedly forced him to have intercourse with her brother.
The woman was arrested on Wednesday and is in police custody.
