The Watooka Day Nursery School on Friday ushered in the festive season in style with a Christmas social held under the theme “A Prince and Princess Ball.”
The event provided a grand culmination to the end of the school’s Christmas term.
The little girls dressed as princesses while the boys were decked out as princes.
The little ones had a great time with their friends where they dined in style observing social etiquette.
Nikosia Holland, the wife of Linden Mayor Carwyn Holland graced the event and applauded the initiative as the children are being afforded the opportunity to learn important social graces early.
“We felt that it was important for the children to learn etiquette so they were exposed to these social graces a few weeks in advance.”
There was also the traditional gift exchange, carol singing, story telling and holiday and New year toasts.
And as if that wasn’t enough, the little ones were regaled with a beautiful Christmas Story which was shown on projector screen.
Mrs. Holland said that she was happy that the school was not just focused on academics but other life skills.
The school was decorated as a regal dining hall complete with Christmas decorations for the event.
The children were all escorted by their fathers or another male relative.
