The Guyana Draughts Association would be running off its Annual National Championship commencing October 1st. There would be four categories for this year’s Championship.
The ‘B’ class competition commences the tournament when the action kicks off at the National Gymnasium on October 1st. The first six qualifiers would join the senior players on October 8th in the conference room of the Racquet Centre, Wolford Avenue where the ‘A’ competition would be held. On October 15th the International 100 squares would conclude the regular tournament at the same venue.
Then on October 22nd the schools are scheduled to compete in the junior 100 square checks.
All games commence at 11.00am and players are asked to be at the venues at 10.30am for registration. Registration fee is $300 per player except for the schools. Players must be prepared to play with the clock.
At stake are trophies and other prizes. All players countrywide are invited to participate.
