Over 60 entered, Banks DIH sponsors main event
All is set for “the grand one day of Photo Finish horserace meet” which is organised by the Rising Sun Turf Club and friends of Rising Sun and set for tomorrow at the Rising Sun Turf Club, Arima Park, West Coast Berbice.
The event has seven races listed with over $6M in cash, trophies and other incentives up for the taking, with Banks DIH being the sponsor of the main event.
A top class field of runners that includes Golden Blue Echo, Lady Budapest, Brave Sky, Spit Fire, Just call Me Boss, Jack in My Style, Release the Beast, Goodwill Boy, Red and Lovely, Honey Flow, Climate Change, Big Man Boss, Puppy Tail, Mischievous Maker and Firing Line among others have been entered to compete.
The Feature D3 and lower event has a winning purse of $1M and trophy compliments of Banks DIH Limited over 1400M which incidentally is the distance of all of the races, thus making it a one day sprint classic.
The other events listed on the day are – The event for G1 and E3 non earners for the last six months which has a winning take of $400,000 and trophy.
The race for H3 and lower horses will also now cater for those 4years that haven’t earned for 2017 for a top prize of $350,000 and trophy.
The race for three years and I and lower animals will be contested for a winning purse of $250,000 and trophy.
The J2 and K and lower event will see the animals racing for a winner’s take of $200,000 and trophy. The L and lower animals will be galloping for a bounty of $175,000 and trophy.
There is also a race for cow and cart horses for a winner’s tale of $100,000 and trophy. Banks DIH Limited along with Trophy Stall of Bourda Market, the Jumbo Jet Business entity and Shariff Business Enterprise have so far come forward as major sponsors.
