We are paid poor wages and salaries by this security firm

Dear Editor,
I would like to call on the Government and the Minister of Labour to investigate a private security company paying employees very poor wages and salaries. On the 28-July-2013, the owner changed her company’s name from what it was nationally known as. The reason of the change is because she wants to rob her employees their benefits and services. Please note the following
1. No medical and life insurance coverage
2. No risk allowance
3. No over time
4. No double time on holidays
5. NIS isn’t being paid and contributions when paid are not up to date
6. Salaries not being paid on time
These employees are being robbed by their employers. How would these employees be able to support themselves or much less their families with just $25,000.00 per fortnight with all other expenses included. Private employers need to adopt the socially responsible position of paying workers their fair wages and ensure that their NIS benefits are properly remitted. The target on fair wages should start at $130,000.00 monthly for the lowest paid workers. I once again call on the Government to look into this matter as soon as possible. I do hope that the employees get satisfaction from you.
