A family of Bath Settlement is mourning the loss of their loved one after he succumbed to injuries
sustained during a motorcycle collision at D’Edward Village, West Coast Berbice.
Dead is Dave Kumar Williams, 16, a former student of Fort Wellington Secondary School.
Reports are that Williams, who was the pillion rider on a motorcycle ridden by Leon Norton, a 21 year-old of Bath Settlement, lost his life after the motorcycle, CF 9832 that was proceeding in a northern direction crashed into a utility pole situated on the western side of the road.
The accident occurred at just about 12:30 hrs yesterday morning.
According to reports, they were heading home after an evening out imbibing at Rosignol Village when the accident took place. They were both rushed to the New Amsterdam Hospital for medical attention. However, Williams succumbed to his injuries at approximately 04:30 hrs while being prepared to be transferred to Georgetown Public Hospital.
Norton is listed in a critical condition at the New Amsterdam Hospital.
