Hyde Park, Tuschen SC, Hydronie and Cold Fusion recorded victories when the East Bank Essequibo Dwayne Stephens Auto Sales T20 tournament continued on Sunday.
At Tuschen, Hyde Park beat South Side A by four wickets. Batting first, South Side made 126-8 with Julio Jones scoring 25 and Damien Leacha 24. Looknauth Chinkoo grabbed 6-28 and Ricardo Gordon 2-24. Hyde Park responded with 127-6 in 11 overs. Ricardo Adams struck 58 and Adrian Johnson 18. Bernard Lewis had 2-27.
Tuschen SC overcame Ruby United by eight wickets at the said venue. Ruby United took first strike and were bowled out for 68. Chris Mangra made 18 and Marlon Young 11; Hemraj Ramnarine, Reaz Khan and Nazim Ally had two wickets each. Tuschen SC responded with 74-2 in five overs. Aftar Khan hit 21 while Nicholas Gundalall made 20.
At Zeelugt, Hydronie beat Parika Salem by seven wickets. Parika Salem batted first and managed 113 all out in 19.1 overs. Rayon Fredericks scored 34 and Kevon Boodie 22. Vickram Kissoon claimed 3-12 and Azaad Azeez 2-15. Hydronie made 114-3 in 15.4 overs in reply. Amrit Rai and Safraz karim made 34 each.
Deon Carew, Edwin Burnette and Daniram Lallaram had one wicket apiece.
Cold Fusion defeated Zeelugt by 36 runs at the said venue. Batting first, Cold Fusion posted 151-7. Khanyaiya Ramkarran stroked 38 while Bisram Kissoon hit 34; Awad Bissessar snared 3-15, Junkarim Renkin 2-20 and Keon Roberts 2-32. Zeelugt made 115-7 in reply. Tameshwar Dass and Keon Roberts made 18 and 14 respectively. Kevin Leitch had 3-10 and Bisram Thomas 2-10.
The competition continues today with Tuschen versus South Side A at 09:30hrs and Hyde Park playing Ruby United at 13:30 hrs at Vergenoegen in zone A. In zone B at Tuschen, Zeelught will take on Parika Salem at 09:30 hrs and South Side B will play Cold Fusion at 13:30 hrs.
