Dear Editor,
I applaud and fully support KN in its stand against divisiveness in its Editorial “Tire of acrimony and divisiveness” (KN, 7th February 2017). Although I live abroad in the UK, I (like so many other Guyanese living abroad) feel this acrimony and divisiveness impacting on my life as well. It makes me angry the way some politicians are behaving towards each other. Granted we all have our differing opinions and philosophies. But, this should not deter us from working together on issues of National Importance, co-operating for the national good. By co-operating we will be learning to work with each other building mutual trust, mutual understanding and mutual respect as opposed to opposing just for the sake of opposing. It is time to heal the Guyanese Nation.
