Twenty-one volunteers from the Book ship in Guyana, ‘Logos Hope’, visited Linden to share the different cultures in the mining town on Friday in front of the Linden Enterprise Network building.
Head of Praise Tabernacle AOG Church, Pastor Selwyn Sills, said that although the Logos Hope sells literature it also promotes cultural exchange.
“They have people from Brazil, Mexico, Japan, Australia, Germany and all across the nation. So they come to share their culture and the gospel.”
Pastor Sills said the Logos Hope also trades in conferences for pastors. He noted that although the vessel was not here in a while, the visitors still found the time to come and share Jesus Christ in Book form, culture and presented work.
“They have graced Linden with their presence and they presented their different cultures in song, dance and skits, so we decided to blend the cultures. While we benefit from them they will benefit from us.”
Logos Hope Head of Communication, Janice Low, said she is happy to spread the love of Christ and Christmas cheer in Linden.
“We from the Logos Hope ship which sells books are happy to be here. Our purpose as volunteers is to bring knowledge by way of books and performing in the different cultures with the hope of bringing the love of Christ in this community.”
