Sharif Azeez, 36, will now be spending the Christmas Holidays behind bars after he appeared before Magistrate Annette Singh in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court to answer to the charge of simple larceny.
The charge read that on December 14, at Kitty Georgetown, he broke and entered the dwelling house of Mitral Rooplall and stole one pressure washer valued $150,000, property of the said Mitral Rooplall.
The accused pleaded guilty to the charge after it was read to him by the Magistrate.
Facts presented by Police Prosecutor Christopher Morris, stated that on the day in question Azeez was working in the Virtual Complainant’s compound and when the virtual complainant left to run an errand the accused broke and entered the house and stole the washing machine.
The matter was reported to the station and Azeez was arrested ;he took the police to where he had hidden the washing machine.
