-Sponsors Male Long Jump Event
The Boyce & Jefford Track and Field Classic continued to receive support
from YK Investments Pawn Shop yesterday when the entity officially handed over its sponsorship to the meet for seven consecutive years, rejoining a group of notable sponsors.
Proprietor of YK Investments Pawn Shop, Harry Yenkana said that it is important that the entity continue to partner with the sports event as it grows into what he described as “a very big sports competition for Linden and all Guyana”.
There will be eight international races at this year’s Boyce & Jefford Classic that will attract cash prizes of US$250, US$150 and US$100 for first to third for a total of US$500 or GUY $100,000. YK Investments sponsored the male Long Jump international event.
The International Events include: Males: 200m, 800m, Long Jump and Javelin; Females: 200m, 1500m, Triple Jump and Javelin. A total of GUY $800,000 or US$4000 will be handed out in the eight International Events in addition to a total of $2M to the top four Clubs.
