Dr. Lucheon’s convenient ways of forgetting

On a recent television program held on Sunday 3rd April, 2016 on LRTVS channel 10 named “In Perspective” and hosted by PPP\C MP Zulifikar Mustapha, a lot of misleading information was given to the public by the guest, Dr. Luncheon.
Dr. Luncheon seems to be losing his memory as to what is taking place in Guyana and more over about what took place under his corrupt watch and government. He seems to forget that what is taking place now under this new regime is a transformational change from bad and worse to good and accountability. He seems to forget that this almost ten months government has to deal on a daily basis of what the PPP done in the past twenty three years as a government.
He informed the viewers that this APNU+AFC government seems to be unaccountable for what they are doing. He blames the state of the sugar and rice industries on the government but yet fail to say that or tell Berbicians that it was the PPP that created the crisis in the industries. He failed to say that his PPP appointed Guysuco CEO announced in May 2015 that the Industry will be closed and more over the PPP and Roger lied to the people when they were campaigning for the 2015 elections saying the sugar industry have a bright future ahead.
Dr. Luncheon needs to remember that the rice industry started to decay under the PPP. Some was getting the right price, while some was underpaid. He failed to tell the people the amount of monies RPA borrowed towards giving to rice farmers but the farmers never benefit from it. Dr. Luncheon needs a memory stick to recount the things the PPP did to stifle the farmers so that they can be the followers of the PPP.
Dr. Luncheon failed to tell the people that he was a pensioner that was still hired by the PPP government and that the PPP had many secret deals overseas and local with investors. He failed to say that the PPP promised Berbice an airport since in the days of Dr. Jagan but it never came to reality. He failed to say that his government neglected Berbice especially youths and placed all the investors and employment in other regions.
It seems that he is on a campaign mode but he needs to remember that everything and all the secret deals are coming to light and people now getting to understand what had took place under the twenty three years rule of the corrupted PPP. People are getting a full taste of what the PPP did and are calling for them to be held accountable for selling out Guyana.
He mentioned about the forensic audits and that the government failed to make it public. Well Dr. Luncheon you will soon know about those audits especially at places like Guyoil, NICIL, Public Service Ministry, MMA\ADA and a host of others. Soon those things will be revealed; maybe you forget that things take time. Don’t rush the government to do things and then when it goes bad you will blame them.
Dr. Luncheon need to understand that everything in this country was destroyed by the PPP and it will take time to rebuild with lean and clean administration and this government is working towards that. Moreover I heard the host of the program saying that this government is unaccountable for its employment but I have questions for the host. What were you employed as at OP under the PPP? Why were you traveling every day to OP from the Corentyne with tax payers’ dollars paying your bridge toll, driver, fuel, meals, etc but you only appeared at PPP press conferences?.
People understand that the government has a lot to do and they are there for almost ten months now. People understand that what the government is doing is to clean up the mess that the PPP left. People understand that it will take time to get Guyana back to its real stage. Guyana will move positively forward under this APNU+AFC government and a little advice to Dr. Luncheon; you need to rest at this age, your memory is going.
