We in the Rupununi get our news very late, hence my belated comments on the ongoing debate concerning Mr. Eric Phillips’ letter. I read Ms. Texiera’s dangerously ethnic oriented retort and could not help but wondering if she knows what she is doing, or does she? Ms. Texiera should know that there was a very unpleasant moment involving Amerindians. That incident had to do with land. She should be extremely careful because of memories of that time? Well by her letter, and since information travels faster now than, I would say she is treading on alarming grounds. What she should be doing is promoting harmony and cohesion, not inciting hostilities. Maybe the nation should examine her piece for further condemnation. Gail, like all the PPP/C cabal, can only thrive on the separation of Guyanese people. Long live the diversity that is Guyana! Chrispin Andrews.
