K&B Mining and Hardware Supplies and YK Investment Pawn Shop yesterday renewed their relationship with the Boyce & Jefford Track and Field Classic via sponsorship, when both they presented their contributions for the August 15-16 Championships.
The Mining Company and YK Investment Pawn Shop have been supporters of the meet for six consecutive years. Accountant, Anisa Husain on behalf of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Mining Company, Hema Persaud, handed over their sponsorship.
Meanwhile, Marlon Yenkana extended a similar gesture to the organisers, stating that the meet has become “a very big sports competition for Linden and all Guyana”. The upcoming Boyce & Jefford Classic will feature athletes from five Caribbean countries, including the region’s leading athletics nation, Jamaica for the first time in Guyana.
