Unity Inter-Street Basketball for Alberttown tomorrow
The Unity Inter-Street Three-A-Side Basketball Competition returns to Alberttown/Queenstown Recreational Facility tomorrow from 11am. This is according to the Organiser, Arthur Richmond who spoke briefly to Kaieteur Sport yesterday.
“This used to be an Alberttown/Queenstown thing, but we have extended it to other teams since a lot of the former players from this area have migrated. We didn’t host one of these tournaments since 2001,” Richmond said. The event will feature four players per team with each team required to play some $2000 to enter the competition.
Cash and other prizes will be awarded to the top teams. Richmond informed that the goal is return basketball to the community.
The sponsors are Bumper-to-Bumper, Hot & Spicy, Banks DIH Limited, Antarctic Maintenance and Repairs, Tony’s Auto Spares, Yog Yog, Star Buds and Maggies Catering.
