2015 NBS Second Division 40-over cricket competition in Berbice…
Christopher Jaundoo became the batsman with the highest individual score so far of the New Building
Society Second Division Cricket Competition in Berbice when he slammed 150 not out for Skeldon Community Center in their match against No 72 All Stars.
Skeldon took first strike with Jaundoo opening the batting, and he featured in a first wicket partnership of 32 with Ryan Yacoob (11), 28 for the second wicket Parmanand Narine (12), 75 for the third wicket with Robindra Singh (23) and an unbroken fourth wicket partnership of 113 with Duane Edwards (35 n.o) to steer them to 249 for 3 in 40 overs. No 72 All Stars could only respond with 201 for 9 in their allotted overs. Jaundoo’s knock included 11 fours and 6 sixes.
Tristan Ramsarran, 47, led Scottsburg United to 159 in 34.2 overs against No 70 A. Their off spinner Oddel Kyte took 5 for 15 from 7 overs which together with Ramsarran’s 3 for 19 saw No 70 A restricted to 138 in 24.4 overs.
Legspinner Gajendranauth Ramnarine took 5 for 30 from 7 overs for Springlands when they bowled out No. 73 Young Warriors for 90 in 19 overs. In reply, they found themselves in early trouble at 30 for 4 with medium pacer Lakeram Latchman taking all four wickets. However, their opener Trishan Ramdass 56 n.o. with 6 fours and 2 sixes and Robin Rampersaud 10 n.o. put on the required 61 for victory.
After Clavern Beresford took 4 for 13 from 7 overs for Corriverton to bowl out No 72 Cut and Load for 104 in 28.2 overs. Opening batsman Jeremy Moore then slammed 51 (6 fours and 3 sixes) to help Corriverton
to a 7 wicket victory.
Off spinner Kumarjeet Joseph took 5 for 42 from 5 overs in a losing effort for Rose Hall Town Bakewell B against Toopoo Rising Star.
