The Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club (RHTY&SC) continues to attract the
support of corporate Guyana as it forges ahead with plans to achieve 200 programmes/activities for its Silver Jubilee Anniversary year, 2015.
The club has already completed 55 of hose programmes/activities for the first quarter of the year and during the month of April would be hosting the final of the Busta Champion of Champions, a Spelling Bee Competition for Primary Schools, launch the Edward B. Beharry Anti-Drugs/Anti-Suicide Campaign, Tribute to Retired Teachers Programme, Tribute to Outstanding Teachers and a Cricket Development Clinic for its members among others.
The Management of A. Ally and Sons, Main Street, New Amsterdam donated a bicycle for the club’s Tribute to Members programme and also contributed financially to the Silver Jubilee Magazine.
Also contributing financially to the Magazine were New GPC Inc, H.A. Snacks Co. Ltd of John Street, Werk en Rust, Georgetown. New GPC Inc. and H.A. Snacks Co. Ltd also donated a large quantity of hampers towards the Tribute to Members Programme.

John Lewis Styles of Waterloo Street donated two designer watches and Starr Computers of Brickdam donated a tablet for the programme where the club would be honouring outstanding members for their contributions over the last 25 years.
The Ministry of Sports, the Berbice River Bridge Company and Farfan and Mendes Ltd all donated several trophies for the club’s Cricket Development and Tribute to Members programmes, while overseas based Guyanese Bobby Deonarine of Tenelec and Ms. Karen Rapheal of USAID also made donations towards the Cricket Development Clinic currently being hosted at the Area ‘H’ ground.
Mines Services Ltd, an arm of long serving official sponsor, Farfan and Mendes contributed financially to provide each player of the club with a Silver Jubilee cap. Club Secretary/CEO Hilbert Foster in accepting the donations said that the yearlong celebrations is going according to plan and the club expects to surpass the target of 200 activities by mid-September.
The long serving Secretary/CEO stated that special emphasis is being placed on the cricket development of its members, assisting other sports clubs, education, development and anti-suicide in 2015.
Foster praised the confidence and support of corporate Guyana to the RHTY&SC and even noted that numerous companies are calling into the club to get on board, despite not being approached by them.
This he stated is due to the track record of the club and the mileage that businesses enjoy from being associated with the club.
