Body of miner found with suspected gunshot wound
Police are investigating the death of a 40-year-old miner whose body was found with a suspected gunshot wound to the head at Five Star Backdam, North West District.
The dead man has been identified as Anthony Lewis of West Ruimveldt, Georgetown.
In a statement, the police said that they are investigating the murder which occurred around 20:30 hrs on Friday, last.
Lewis was found with a suspected gunshot wound to his head in the vicinity if his mining camp.
Investigations are ongoing.
