The free outreach, which targeted residents of Patentia and neighbouring villages, attracted over 200 people, among them infants and senior citizens. Patients were seen by Doctors, Rupan Singh, Anila Ramphal, Varun Budram, Michael Pereira and Carl Niamatali. Some of them had to be treated with prescription drugs.
Additionally, 100 hampers were distributed to needy persons, single parents and senior citizens.
Last year, the Seva group hosted seven medical outreaches which served over 1200 people in various parts of the country.
The voluntary team of doctors, pharmacists, nurses and assistants, pioneered by Pandit Rudranauth Sharma will continue to serve communities across Guyana, breaking racial, social and cultural barriers.
