GVF hosts U-16 tryouts on Saturday at Gymnasium
The Guyana Volleyball Federation (GVF) in an effort to significantly increase its pool of players will on Saturday host National Under-16 tryouts for both male and female players commencing at 10:00hrs.
According to the federation, the format of Saturday’s matches will be 4v4 and is geared towards introducing more youths to the sport, widening the pool of available players for selection to current and future competitions in the New Year.
In relation to current, the GVF will selecting a team to represent Guyana at a competition slated for Suriname next month.
Head Teachers and Physical Education Teachers of Secondary Schools are asked to take note. Interested schools can make contact with the GVF Technical Director, Mr. Marlon Pearson on telephone number 617 3880.
