A 61-year-old cleaner was yesterday jailed for three years after he pleaded guilty to a drug trafficking charge.
Allan Roach appeared before Magistrate Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court, where he pleaded guilty to being in possession of nine grams of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
The court heard that yesterday Roach, a resident of Charlotte Street, Georgetown was busted by a party of police ranks with the illicit substance. He was moments after, whisked before the courts and sentenced.
He was told that coupled with his sentence he will pay a fine of $30,000.
