E’bo man, 22, charged with murder of teen
Police have charged 22-year-old Akash Baldeo for the murder of 17-year-old Alex Narine. Narine died on Monday at the Anna Regina Squatting area.

The murder charge was read to Baldeo, who appeared before Magistrate Sunil Scarce at the Suddie Magistrate’s Court. The accused was cautioned not to enter a plea since the charge was indictable.
Police have stated that on Monday August 4, last, at Anna Regina Squatting area, Baldeo and Alex Narine and another young man, Suresh Narine, were said to be imbibing. The trio was seated on a pavilion in the area and Baldeo was said to be listening to music playing through his computer.
Narine allegedly interfered with Baldeo’s computer, for which he was cautioned by the accused. An argument later ensued between the two, which resulted in Narine being stabbed to the left side of his back. Narine died before receiving medical attention.
Baldeo was arrested and taken into custody, at the Anna Regina Police Station.
A post mortem examination conducted on Wednesday by Dr. Nehaul Singh, revealed that Narine died of perforation to the lung due to a stab wound.
