The Albion Sport Complex, Corentyne Berbice is the venue for today’s Berbice Chamber of Commerce and Development Association (BCCDA) fourth annual Corporate Business in Sports (CBIS) Inter-Agency softball cricket tournament and fun day.
Teams will engage in T10 cricket, dominoes and other sporting activities. The cricket final will be played under lights and this will be followed by the much anticipated T20 match between Albion Community Centre and the Rose Hall Town Gizmos and Gadgets clubs.
Attractive prizes are at stake for the top teams and outstanding individual players. The winning team will walk away with the BCCDA trophy, $50,000 and medals. The losing finalist will collect a trophy, $30,000 and medals while third place team will receive a trophy and $20,000.
Man-of-the-match in the final gets $10,000 and a medal, bowler with the most wickets also receives $10,000 and a medal as will the batsman with the highest score of the tournament.
Matches will be played simultaneously and the fixture are as follows:
