Courts Guyana Inc. yesterday announced that it will be continuing to partner with the Guyana Police Force (GPF) Athletics Championships, slated for July 21-26, stating that the two entities have developed a relationship akin to family.
“It is always a pleasure for us to be part of the Police Athletic Championships and it is good to see that we are living like family,” Courts’ Country Manager, Clyde de Haas, stated after Police Assistant
Commissioner – Administration, George Vyphuis’s stirring remarks.
Vyphuis had opined that based on all the support the Police gives to Courts throughout the year to facilitate their many programmes, it is clear that the two entities have gone past mere business partners and now enjoys a familial relationship.
“We are happy to be associated with Courts. The Guyana Police Force always looks forward to the support of Courts, which we return whenever there is the Christmas-tree light-up and their motorcades etc.,” he said, adding that their contribution is well received.
Courts’ Public Relations Officer, Kester Abrams believes that Courts partnership with what is one of the biggest athletics championships annually, is testament to their commitment toward the development of sport in Guyana. Courts’ Marketing Manager, Pernell Cummings also shared the moment yesterday.
“Courts Guyana is always very proud to support healthy lifestyles, talent and sport development in Guyana. Courts has always had a fruitful and supportive relationship with the men and women who serve and protect our country,” Abrams noted.
The company handed over a quantity of trophies and a cheque worth $400,000 to the Assistant Commissioner of Police in the Presence of Deputy Superintendent of Police and Sports Officer, Colin Boyce and Police Coach, Lyndon Wilson.
