Guyana team depart for Regional U-19 tourney
The Guyana U-19 team departed yesterday for St. Kitts where they will contest the 2013 Regional U-19 Three-day and 50-over tournaments.
The 14- man squad is being led by Shawn Perreira and includes Tagenarine Chanderpaul, Brain Sattaur and Ricardo Adams. David Black is the manager while Adrian Amsterdam is the coach.

Meanwhile, Amsterdam, in an invited comment just before the team departed the Windjammer Hotel for the Cheddi Jagan International Airport Timehri, said he is confident the team will perform well in the tournament. He stated that the players are confident despite insufficient preparation.
He informed that the team has a wealth of experience with ten players returning from last year’s competition. “Additionally we also have Tagenarine Chanderpaul who represented Guyana at the first class level, so we have a team who can make winning its habit,” said Amsterdam.
The three-day tournament will commence on July 19, while the 50-over starts on August 10.
